Everything you need to know about the Boise State vs. Air Force online live stream and TV broadcast, as well as game notes and prediction.

The Boise State Broncos will play host to the Air Force Falcons in a Friday night matchup between the two best teams in the Mountain Division.

The Broncos (7-3, 4-2 MW) are looking to put last week’s 31-24 stunning loss to New Mexico behind them. Boise State tied the game at 17 on an18-yard touchdown pass from Brett Rypien to Jeremy McNichols early in the fourth quarter, but back-to-back rushing touchdowns by the Lobos put the game out of reach. Rypien set a career-high in passing, completing 41 of his 75 (you read that right) attempts for 506 yards and two touchdowns. Thomas Sperbeck also had a career-day, setting a single-game school record with 20 receptions for 281 yards, but was held out of the end zone. Jeremy McNichols led the Broncos backfield that was overshadowed by the passing attack, with 178 total yards and two scores.

The Falcons (7-3, 5-1 MW) are winners of four straight and have been a pleasant surprise in the Mountain West this season. Last time out, Air Force staved off a late push from the Utah State Aggies to earn the 35-28 win. Karson Roberts (324 total yards, 2 TD) and Jalen Robinette (7 rec, 210 yards, TD) turned in career-best performances, bringing a normally dormant passing game to life. Robinette’s 210 yards were the most since 1978 and the third-most in a single game in school history. The emergence of the pass allowed Air Force to run for 309 yards on the day. Four Falcons players ran for 50+ yards and combined to reach the end zone four times. The win pushed the Falcons’ record to a perfect 6-0 at home for the second straight season.

Boise State and Air Force will meet for just the fourth time Friday and all meetings have come as Mountain West conference foes. Boise State holds a slight 2-1 advantage in the series and looks to avenge last year’s 28-14 loss.

Prediction

The Air Force defense is good enough to pull this off, but Boise State isn’t going to have the same lousy game twice in a row. The offensive balance should be just enough to get by, while the defense will do its part to keep the Falcon offense under wraps in the second half.
