Christian McCaffrey met American Pharoah at the Paul Hornung Award Ceremony.

Being a college football player has its perks. Being a star college football player comes with a heavy dose of praise and recognition.

But what happens when you’re a superstar and a favorite to win a Heisman Trophy? Well, you get to meet superstars from other sports.

Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey has to be enjoying life as the go-to playmaker for the Cardinal — especially when he meets the fastest force on four legs: American Pharoah.

The Heisman hopeful met with the Triple Crown winner in Louisville, Ky., where he is accepting the 2015 Paul Hornung Award for displaying “versatility enabling a player to make an impact at numerous positions on the field.”

McCaffrey surely looks like he enjoyed meeting the history-making Thoroughbred.

There’s a lot of speed in those pictures. Maybe McCaffrey will take a page out of Chad Johnson’s book and race a horse. Now that would make for great TV.
