FSU football will be the focus of the Showtime series “A Season With,” a season-long behind the scenes look at the Seminoles program.

The Florida State Seminoles have been selected by Showtime to star in the newest season of A Season With. The show is the network’s Hard Knocks-esque, behind the scenes look at a specific college football program. Notre Dame was the show’s chosen team during the premier season last year.

“We are very excited to partner with Showtime this season,” FSU football coach Jimbo Fisher said. “At Florida State, we have a tremendous family atmosphere, and we are looking forward to showcasing what makes FSU football special.”

From purely a dramatic standpoint, following FSU football is a banner choice by Showtime. The Seminoles are one of the nation’s preeminent programs, and after a “down year” where they failed to win the ACC’s Atlantic Division, now look poised to make a run for their second national championship in four years. Add in a quarterback battle, a Heisman favorite – and highlight machine – in Dalvin Cook, and two of the nation’s biggest games – the season-opener against Ole Miss and the late-October tilt against Clemson – and the whole thing just screams ratings.

There’s a shortlist of must-watch teams this upcoming season, and Florida State is certainly near – or at – the top. Episode One will air on September 6.
