The No. 18 Harvard Crimson head into Easton, PA to take on the Lafayette Leopards hoping to remain perfect on the season.
After an undefeated 2014 campaign, the Crimson have continued to roll in 2015 as they stand at 4-0. Harvard currently holds the longest FCS winning streak in the nation (18 games) and has outscored its opponents 179-40 this season. Last week, in a 40-3 romping of Cornell, the Crimson gained 499 yards of total offense. QB Scott Hosch led Harvard by completing 14-of-30 passes for 244 yards and four total touchdowns. The win made Hosch the first Crimson quarterback to start his career a perfect 10-0.
The Leopards limp into Saturday with a 1-5 record on the season after suffering a 38-7 loss at Georgetown last week. Lafayette spotted Georgetown a 17-0 lead early and the Hoyas never looked back, scoring 21 unanswered points to win the game. The Leopards hope to see an uptick in their rushing attack that is averaging just 55 yards per game, which is disappointing compared to their 2014 team that averaged 154 yards per game at this point last year.
This will be the 19th meeting between Harvard and Lafayette, with the Crimson leading 13-5 in the overall series. The Leopards hope to capture their first win against Harvard in six years.
