The Ole Miss Rebels are in the doghouse with one Mississippi high school football coach for the way they’ve recruited his players.

St. Stanislaus head coach football coach Bill Conides has a bone to pick with the Ole Miss Rebels, and he’s using Twitter and the media to share his message.

The fact Ole Miss has not offered any of his players, several of whom hold big-time offers from rival SEC programs, has Conides hot. He sent out a tweet targeted at the Rebels but later deleted it. Below was his message, courtesy of the SunHerald.

“Dear @OleMissFB thanks for not offering my kids. I can’t wait for their teams to schedule you in the future. Get ready to get skull-drug.”

By “their teams,” Conides is referring to the colleges his players eventually sign with.

Conides told Patrick Ochs of the SunHerald Ole Miss’ recruiting tactics are impacting how other schools pursue his players. He says his athletes are “being strung along” by the Rebels.

“That was the big hesitation with a lot of the out-of-state schools,” Conides said. “They’re worried, ‘We’re going to put in all this ground work and offer your guy, and then Ole Miss is going to do what they do, and you’re going to go play for them.'”

According to Conides, Ole Miss co-offensive coordinator Matt Luke attempted to reach out since his tweet, but it’s too late.

“I want to make sure we call these people out because they think they’re on top of the world and can do what they do and manipulate the minds of 16 and 17-year-old kids,” Conides said. “I’m not going to let that happen. I’m done with them.”
