Mountain West football picks and spreads for Week 6. The Boise State Broncos and Colorado State Rams help to kick off the festivities on Saturday. The Broncos have been rolling since the loss to the BYU Cougars in their second game of the season. The Rams, on the other hand, have struggled finding the win column in former coach Jim McElwain’s absence, sporting just a 2-3 record. Can Boise State continue to ride the momentum, or will Colorado State notch a statement win in Mike Bobo’s first year? Scroll down for this week’s Mountain West picks.

Week 6 Mountain West Football Picks And Spreads

Boise State vs. Colorado State

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff
: 7:00 p.m. ET

Venue
: Hughes Stadium

Boise State is on fire scoring 52 points or more in the last three games while outscoring Idaho State, Virginia and Hawaii by a combined score of 163 to 14. Colorado State has the firepower to keep up the pace for a little while, but Boise State’s defense will put the clamps down in the second half.

Pick: Boise State

Spread: Boise State -15.5

Nevada vs. New Mexico

Date
: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff
: 7:00 p.m. ET

Venue
: Mackay Stadium

Run, run, run. Can either team come up with a key play at the right time through the air? Nevada’s passing game is non-existent, and New Mexico doesn’t have one, but the Lobos will pull off the upset by doing the running game better.

Pick: New Mexico

Spread: Nevada -4.5

UNLV vs. San Jose State

Date
: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff
: 9:00 p.m. ET

Venue
: Sam Boyd Stadium

With UNLV QB Blake Decker hurting with a hamstring injury, the offense will be more one dimensional than it needs to be. San Jose State’s more than just Ervin – the offense will be solid enough to leave Las Vegas a winner.

Pick: San Jose State

Spread: San Jose State -3

Air Force vs. Wyoming

Date
: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff
: 10:15 p.m. ET

Venue
: Falconl Stadium

Air Force will run well, but it’ll be the three pass plays that turn out to be a killer. The Wyoming secondary will get caught napping a few times, turning a decent game into a blowout.

Pick: Air Force

Spread: Air Force -23.5

For final score prediction, check out our Air Force vs. Wyoming game preview.

Fresno State vs. Utah State

Date
: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff
: 10:30 p.m. ET

Venue
: Bulldog Stadium

The Utah State defense is too good and too tough to let the awful Fresno State offense get rolling. Watch out – as good as Chuckie Keeton was/it, Kent Myers, now that he has the Utah State quarterback gig to himself, will turn out to be even more effective.

Pick: Utah State

Spread: Utah State -11.5

For final score prediction, check out our Fresno State vs. Utah State game preview.

San Diego State vs. Hawaii

Date
: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff
: 11:59 p.m. ET

Venue
: Aloha Stadium

Hawaii is finally playing someone its own size. Forget about how bad the offense has been against the big boys – it’s going to be just effective enough in a rough game for the Aztecs. Finally, the Rainbow Warrior passing game will start to work.

Pick: Hawaii

Spread: Hawaii -2
