Rashan Gary recruiting update. The 5-star prospect will visit Clemson over Alabama.

Nick Saban is used to having things go his way. He’s won five national championships — four with Alabama. And because he’s dominated, the Crimson Tide have been able to bring in some of the nation’s best high school football players.

But in the class of 2016, Saban’s line snapped while trying to reel in the top recruit in the land: Rashan Gary.

The nation’s No. 1 recruit and No. 1 defensive tackle is favored to land at Michigan, who already has commitments from a couple of his friends: Michael Dwumfour and Kareem Walker.

Despite the strong pull to Ann Arbor, Gary is still exploring his options in order to make the best decision possible.

Alabama was believed to be Gary’s last official visit, but when the star defensive tackle’s mom spoke to SEC Country, she said her son would be visiting the team the Crimson Tide just beat in the national championship: the Clemson Tigers.

The Tigers are sitting at No. 16 in the class rankings right now, but sneaking in at the 11th hour to land Gary could catapult them into the top 10.
