CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland women’s basketball freshman Bri Betz-White earned Lids Team Sports Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors Monday after scoring a career-high 19 points on Saturday afternoon in a Greyhounds’ victory.

She scored seven of her 12 second-half points during the stretch that saw Loyola go up by 11 with just over three minutes remaining before the final horn.

Betz-White made 6-of-13 shots and had two steals and two rebounds in 37 minutes of action against the Peacocks.

Through 10 games this season – the Greyhounds played earlier Monday before the award was announced – Betz-White is second on the team with a 9.8 points per game average. The award is the first of her career and the first this season by a Loyola player.
