Cal State Bakersfield pulls away from Seattle for 93-71 win

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) Dedrick Basile scored 17 points, Damiyne Durham added 16 more and Cal State Bakersfield pulled away in the second half for a 93-71 win over Seattle in the regular season finale for both teams Saturday night.

Jaylin Airington and Aly Ahmed had 10 points apiece for Bakersfield (21-8, 11-3 Western Athletic Conference), and Kevin Mays hauled in 11 rebounds. The Roadrunners shot 51 percent from the field and went 7 for 14 from long range to win their third straight.

Trailing 20-18 in the first half, Bakersfield took the lead for good during a 10-0 run that included one of Basile’s two 3-pointers. A 7-0 burst early in the second half pushed Bakersfield’s lead to 51-36 and the margin remained comfortably in double figures the rest of the way.

William Powell, Jack Crook, Brendan Westendorf and Manroop Clair scored 12 points each for Seattle (13-15, 7-7). Powell also collected 11 rebounds.
