Dec. 28, 2015

Box Score

BOSTON – A strong defensive effort by the Boston University women’s basketball team wasn’t enough to stop Vermont as the Terriers dropped a 60-48 decision in their final non-conference game of the season on Monday afternoon in Case Gym.

BU (0-11) looks toward a fresh start as the team heads into conference play on Wednesday afternoon against Holy Cross in Case Gym.

Troi Melton and Courtney Latham co-led the Terriers with 11 points each. The Catamounts were led by Andreana Thomas, who totaled a career-high 26 points, the only Vermont player in double-digit scoring.

Corrine Williams tallied six steals on the day to help BU force 22 Catamount turnovers, the most by an opponent so far this season. Williams is the first Terrier to record five or more steals in a game since this day last year when Courtney Latham had five against UMass (Dec. 28, 2014).
