Cichosz Leads Match In Kills, But Navy Clips Volleyball

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Molly Cichosz led all players with 11 kills, but the U.S. Naval Academy defeated Loyola University Maryland, 25-12, 25-16, 25-21, in Patriot League action Saturday afternoon.

The freshman had only one kill in the opening set, but she came up with four in the second and six in the final frame.

Jane Lukas added nine kills for the Greyhounds and led Loyola with 12 total points, tallying two solo blocks and a sevice ace. Anna Eckstein had a team-best 10 digs.

Maggie Phillips led Navy with seven aces, while Ali Graf had a match-best 22 digs.

The Greyhounds are back in action Wednesday night when they travel to Washington, D.C., to face American University at 7 o’clock.
