Cross Country. Army Women Tie for Third at Patriot League Championships

BETHLEHEM, PA – The Army women’s cross country team tied for third place at the Patriot League Championships, placing five runners in the top 20.

The women tied with service academy rival Navy. Boston University and Bucknell finished in a tie for first.

Rachel King led the way for the Black Knights with a 10th place finish and a time of 21:23.20. Lindsay Gabow followed in 11th place, posting a time of 21:25.30.


Taking 13th place with a time of 21:27.00 was Jen Comfort and posting a 17th place finish with a time of 21:36.00 was Lisa Junta.


Madison Hill rounded out the top five for the Black Knights with a 19th place finish. She ran the 6K course in 21:43.10.


Also competing for Army was Nicole Carter, who took 47th place, Brianna Miller, who finished in 60th, and Elizabeth Moton, who claimed 67th.


Stephanie McDermott and Courtney Dooley rounded out the pack for Army taking 77th and 83rd, respectively.


Army will turn its attention to NCAA Regionals, held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, N.Y. on Nov. 14.
