DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) Tyler Kalinoski scored 19 points and Oskar Michelsen scored 18 – all on 3-pointers – and Davidson easily handled Division III Catholic University of America 102-66 in its Atlantic 10 Conference debut on Saturday.

Jack Gibbs scored 17 points and had seven assists, Peyton Aldridge grabbed 11 rebounds and Jordan Barham and Nathan Ekwu each came off the bench to score 10 points.

Kalinoski opened with a jumper and the Wildcats never looked back, outshooting the Cardinals 50.8 percent to 40.4 percent from the floor and outrebounding them 43-28.

Michelsen, a 6-foot-9 freshman from Helsinki, Finland, hit 6 of 7 from beyond the arc, and Kalinoski had five treys.

Catholic used a 7-2 run in the second half to gain some ground, but Davidson got hot from beyond the arc, hitting seven 3-pointers midway through the half, including a trey by Michelsen that sparked an 11-3 run.
