Dominant Second Half Puts BU Past Colgate, 14-11

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Four unanswered goals to start the second half sparked a 14-11 victory over Colgate for the Boston University women’s lacrosse team on Wednesday night at Beyer-Small ’76 Field.

Mallory Collins scored two goals in the first 40 seconds of the second half to spark the comeback and return the lead to the Terriers, who did not relinquish it for the remainder of the game. Collins finished the game with four goals.

Jill Horka matched her career-high and won nine draw controls to help put BU in scoring position and is now one away from tying the BU career draw control record. She also tallied two goals and an assist throughout the contest.
