Duke announces departure of DL coach Rick Petri

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Duke says defensive line coach Rick Petri has left the staff to pursue other opportunities.

Coach David Cutcliffe announced the move Friday.

Petri came to Duke in 2011 and helped the Blue Devils win 28 games and reach three bowl games in four years.

He coached with Cutcliffe at Mississippi from 1999-2004 and came to Duke after five seasons at Kentucky.
