Golfers Finish Seventh At Seahawk Intercollegiate

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Loyola University Maryland golf team finished the Seahawk Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Landfall Monday in seventh place with a team score of 39-over 903.

Senior Bart George led the Greyhounds through the final round, posting a 2-over 74 to finish tied for 33rd at 12-over 228, while sophomore Connor Flach was Loyola’s top finisher with a three-round total of 8-over 224. Flach finished tied for 14th after shooting a 4-over 75 today.

Sophomore Matt Oshrine finished tied for 39th with a three-round total of 14-over 230 and junior Jimmy Dengler, shooting a 4-over 76 today, was one stroke behind and tied for 33th at 15-over 231.

Freshman Jeremy Wall improved two spots after shooting 5-over 77 today and into a tie for 52nd with a three-round score of 17-over 233.

Frehman Bennett Wisner, competing individually, shot a 24-over 240 to finish 63rd after carding a 2-over 74 through the third round.

Lee McCoy (Georgia) and Adam Ball (VCU) finished tied for first with a pair of even 216s, while Georgia’s Mookie DeMoss and Zach Healy, in addition to Army’s Peter Kim and Campbell’s Gaston Bertinotti, all finished tied for third at 2-over 218.

Campbell took the team title with a 16-over 880, followed by No. 30 Georgia (21-over 885) and Army (22-over 886).

Loyola will have one final tune-up before heading to the Patriot League Championships. The Greyhounds will travel to Lynchburg, Virginia for the Liberty Spring Invitational Friday and Saturday, April 10-11.
