March 2, 2015

EASTON, Pa. – Chemical Engineering major Greg Grewal has earned a place on the Academic All-Patriot League Swimming and Diving Team announced on Monday. He was one of just 10 student-athletes named to the squad on which seven of the 10 Patriot League schools were honored.

Grewal, who holds a 3.5 cumulative GPA, managed Lafayette’s top finish in the Patriot League championships, capturing second second place in the 100-yard breaststroke. That finish earned him All-Patriot League Second-Team status and his time (54.28) broke a 23-year old mark of 54.44.

Grewal also placed 10th in the 200 breaststroke in 2:01.63, just a second off his own school record set in 2014. The Downington, Pa. native also swam the breaststroke legs of the 400 medley (3:20.06) and 200 medley relay (1:31.84) teams that set school records at the meet.
