Greyhounds Travel To Kingsmill Intercollegiate, Play Begins Sunday

BALTIMORE – The Loyola University Maryland golf team will head to Williamsburg, Virginia, this weekend for the Kingsmill Intercollegiate. The event will be held at the Kingsmill Resort River Course, a longtime host of the PGA and LPGA tours.

The tournament will be played over three days beginning on Sunday, March 20.

“We’re excited to get back out on the course,” head coach Chris Baloga said. “We didn’t have a great start to our spring, but after a good week of practice in Arizona, we’re looking forward to getting back on track and finding that level of success that we had in the fall.”

The 24-team tournament field will feature Appalachian State, Binghamton, Dayton, Delaware, Drake, Eastern Kentucky, High Point, IPFW, Longwood, Loyola, Maryland, Ohio, Old Dominion, Penn State, Radford, St. Francis (Pa.), St. Joseph’s, Seton Hall, Temple, Tennessee, TCU, Towson, William & Mary and Youngstown State.

Five Greyhounds will continue their spring season this weekend, including Bennett Wisner, Brendan Peel, Will Wears, Connor Flach and Ethan Wall.

The Greyhounds will tee off at 10 a.m. Sunday morning and play with Maryland, Tennessee and Old Dominion in the first round.

Following this tournament, the Greyhounds will compete in the Hoosier Collegiate in Columbus, Indiana, on Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10.
