Jen Dumiak and Jacquie Klotz Named Lids Team Sports Weekly Award Winners

Mar. 2, 2015

Patriot League Weekly Awards (2.23-3.1)

American senior guard Jen Dumiak and Bucknell freshman guard Jacquie Klotz, both multiple time winners of the Lids Team Sports Patriot League Women’s Basketball awards during the 2014-15 season, were named Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for performances in games from Feb. 23-Mar. 1.

Dumiak was chosen as the Player of the Week for the fifth time this season after averaging 19 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in wins over Navy and Bucknell. The Eagles will enter the Patriot League Tournament as the regular season champion and No. 1 seed after finishing the season on an eight-game winning streak.

Klotz completed the regular season with a red-hot month of February and captured her fourth consecutive Rookie of the Week honor. The freshman guard averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists as the Bison split games with Lehigh and American. Bucknell will host a quarterfinal round playoff game on Friday as the No. 4 seed.

Honorable mention status for the week ending Mar. 1 goes to Army junior Kelsey Minato, Bucknell senior Audrey Dotson and Colgate junior Randyll Butler.
