March 2, 2015

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland sophomore Ania Krawiec was named the Corvias Patriot League Women’s Tennis Player of the Week on Monday after putting together a perfect weekend in singles and doubles play.

Krawiec won both of her singles matches, and she teamed with Amanda Lanciano to win her only doubles contest, as the Greyhounds made a swing through North Carolina for a pair of matches.

On Friday night, Krawiec picked up a win at No. 5 singles, rallying from a second-set loss to beat North Carolina Central University’s Lynsey Cover, 6-4, 5-7, 10-2. She then swept North Carolina A&T’s Nadina Hilton, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 3 singles action on Sunday.

In doubles play, Krawiec and Lanciano won a No. 2 match, 6-1, against the Aggies’ Lexus Morgan and Tyla Godchidge.

Jordan Kuchta was named to the Patriot League Weekly Honor Roll, as well, after going 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles play, last weekend for the Loyola men.
