La Salle beats Fordham 60-49

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Jordan Price scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds as La Salle handed Fordham its fifth-straight conference loss with a 60-49 win on Saturday.

Cleon Roberts added 12 points and six rebounds for the Explorers (10-8, 2-3 Atlantic 10 Conference). Jerrell Wright had 11. The team hit 40.9 percent from the field overall and 65.5 percent from the line.

La Salle capped a 14-0 start with a 3-pointer by Price and led 30-21 at halftime.

The Explorers extended their advantage to 45-31 on a Khalid Lewis jumper midway through the second period. Fordham’s Eric Paschall and Ryan Rhoomes led a 10-4 run late to close the gap to eight points before Tony Washington sealed the win for the Explorers with a layup with six seconds left.

Paschall finished with 9-of-24 shooting for 25 points for the Rams (5-11, 0-5), leading all other Fordham players combined.
