Longwood routs Penn State Beaver 106-74

FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) Shaquille Johnson scored 22 points, Quincy Taylor added 19 and Longwood rolled to a 106-74 victory over Penn State Beaver on Saturday.

Ryan Badowski finished with 17 points and Lotanna Nwogbo chipped in 16 for the Lancers (4-8), who shot a scorching 61.9 percent from the field. Johnson was 8 of 10 from the floor and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line.

Longwood closed the first half on a 17-6 run as Badowski hit a 3-pointer, converted a four-point play, and made a layup. The Lancers led 51-34 at the break and surged away to lead by as much as 40 in the second half.

Lamont Wright led the Lions with 21 points, Marcus Smith added 17 and Christian James had 15 with eight rebounds. Penn State Beaver gave up 32 points off turnovers and was outscored 62-28 in the paint.
