Morehead State crushes Stetson, 41-18

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) Austin Gahafer completed 32 of his 40 passes for 314 yards and three touchdowns to lead Morehead State to a 41-18 win over Stetson on Saturday.

Rees Macshara finished with 126 yards rushing on 16 carries and also added a receiving touchdown for the Eagles (4-7, 3-5 Pioneer League). Brandon Bornhauser and Justin Cornwall also caught touchdown passes.

Defensively, Justin Grier had two interceptions and Mike Jackson added another, accounting for three of the four turnovers forced by Morehead State.

Cole Mazza rushed 16 times for 118 yards to lead the Hatters (5-6, 3-4). Ryan Powers added a 25-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown early in the third, which cut the Eagles lead to 20-18, the closest Stetson would come in the second half.
