Rally Falls Short at UMass, 11-8

AMHERST, Mass. – Despite a strong showing in the second half, the Boston University could not overcome Massachusetts’ fast start to the game and dropped an 11-8 decision on Wednesday evening on Garber Field.

The Terriers (1-2) outscored the Minutewomen (3-0), 4-2, in the second half and showed their defensive prowess throughout the final 30 minutes but it was ultimately not enough to overcome the early 5-0 UMass advantage.
