Ten Patriot Leaguers Named to IWLCA All-Region Squads

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Ten Patriot League student-athletes were selected to the All-Region Team by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) last week, with three standouts from Loyola University Maryland named to the first team in the Mid-Atlantic.

Seniors Maddy Lesher and Molly Wolf and freshman Sabrina Tabasso all represented the Greyhounds on the first team in the Mid-Atlantic. Loyola senior Maddy Blakeman made the second team in the region along with Lehigh juniors Allison LaBeau and Julianne D’Orazio.

Boston University seniors Jill Horka and Mallory Collins made the second team in the Northeast Region along with Colgate sophomore Haley O’Hanlon, while Navy sophomore Jenna Collins was a second-team choice in the South Region.

The IWLCA named 128 student-athletes in Division I with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2016. These student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on Wednesday, May 18. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on Saturday June 4, 2016 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, PA.
