Terriers Compete in Last Chance Meet

March 1, 2015

Led by another school-record breaking performance by sophomore Cameron Williams, the men’s & women’s track & field teams continued their indoor season by hosting the Last Chance Meet at the TTC on Sunday.

Williams ran a school-record 21.04 in the 200m, breaking his own time of 21.20 set during the BU Season Opener in December.

Also victorious for the Terriers was junior David Lagerberg who won the 400m with a time of 47.51.

Junior Kevin Thomas had a very impressive performance in the men’s 1 mile, running a personal best 4.01:13 and finishing in second place.

Senior Nikolaos Farmakidis placed second in the pole vault with a 4.90m effort. Farmakidis was coming off a winning effort at the New England Championships on Friday, where he posted the same mark (4.90m) and finished in first place.

On the women’s side, junior Sophie Jancsurak was victorious in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.85. Jancsurak was coming off a third-place performance at last week’s Patriot League Championship.

The Terriers will host the final event of the season at the Track and Tennis Center next weekend when they compete in the IC4A Championships (March 6-8).
