Texas A&M-CC beats Our Lady of the Lake 73-58

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) Bryce Douvier and John Jordan had 18 points apiece to lead Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to a 73-58 win over Our Lady of The Lake on Friday night.

Jelani Currie added 10 points. Jordan also had three steals and five assists.

The NAIA Saints held a 20-17 lead midway through the first half. Jelanie Currie made two free throws, T.J. Traylor made a layup and Currie followed with a layup to give the Islanders a 23-20 advantage. The Islanders then built that into a 41-29 halftime lead.

Terrence Berry hit a 3-point jumper to close to 61-49 with 6:02 left in the game. Brandon Pye then made a layup and Jordan added four free throws to give the Islanders a 67-49 advantage with 2:37 remaining.

Daniel Skinner and Darion Brown had 10 points each for the Saints.
