Williams, The Citadel beat Mid-Atlantic Christian 132-60

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Quayson Williams scored a career-high 30 points to help The Citadel set a program record for points in a game and cruise to a 132-60 win over Mid-Atlantic Christian on Thursday night.

Williams, a freshman, set a school record by making 10 3-pointers. Matt Frierson scored 18, Derrick Henry had 13 points, Brian White and Connor Schroeder finished with 12 apiece, and Zane Najdawi added 10 points for the Bulldogs (2-1).

The Citadel, which topped the 90-point plateau for the first time since Nov. 23, 2013 in a 94-93 win over Stetson on Tuesday, scored 83 points in the first half – also a school record – and led by 57 at the break. The Bulldogs scored at least 40 in a half just nine times in 30 games last season.

Will Artis scored 19 and Zach Camporese added 15 points for Mid-Atlantic Christian, a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
