Texas football recruiting update for the week of March 31, 2016.

The last week of recruiting for Texas wasn’t exactly packed with excitement or action.

The Longhorns, who fell from No. 13 to No. 14 in the rankings, made just two new offers to wide receivers Tyler Hamilton and Tyrell Shavers.

Hamilton, from Hilton Head Island, S.C., is a 5-foot-9, 160-pound pass catcher born to line up in the slot. He bursts off the line and is elusive after the catch.

As for Shavers, well, he’s the exact opposite. The No. 52 receiver in the 2017 class is 6-foot-6, 202 lbs. He’s a prime target in the red zone. Shavers is the vertical threat to balance out Hamilton’s short-field game.

This upcoming weekend for Texas will be big, though. The Longhorns will host 5-star recruit Dylan Moses, the No. 2 player in the country, for an unofficial visit. He’s fresh off unofficial visits to Alabama and LSU, so Charlie Strong will have to bring his A-game.

*UPDATE* Moses is no longer visiting Texas this weekend, according to ESPN’s Gerry Hamilton.

Below is a breakdown of Texas’ 2017 recruiting class as it currently stands.
