Four-star cornerback Cheyenne Labruzza won’t be wavering on his commitment to the Tennessee Volunteers.
After tweeting “I am fully committed to the University of Tennessee!!” earlier in the week, Labruzza has now canceled his previously-planned official visit to LSU this upcoming weekend, according to James Smith of NOLA.com. He will also forgo any other visits.
Labruzza originally committed to the Volunteers on April 16, 2016. He visited Tennessee over the summer and then again for the Florida game, which resulted in the Vols’ first win over the Gators since 2004.
Labruzza is from Albany, Louisiana, just a short drive to the east of Baton Rouge. But despite his close proximity and a push from LSU, he’s opted not to play for the home-state Tigers.
He’s listed at 5-foot-11 and 183 pounds, and ranked the No. 19 cornerback and No. 198 overall player in the nation. Labruzza has solid size, good hands and field vision. He will need to work on his mechanics and quickness at the next level.
