Five-star offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood confirms the next colleges he plans to visit before making his final decision.

Five-star offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood is on the home stretch of his recruitment. With two months to go until National Signing Day, and despite being committed to Alabama since June 2015, Leatherwood is still weighing his options and taking time to check out other potential destinations.

After coming off an official visit to Alabama for the Crimson Tide’s game against Auburn, Leatherwood confirmed that he plans to visit Florida and LSU soon, and will take a third to either Auburn or Georgia, per Derek Tyson.

Leatherwood took unofficial visits to Auburn (Sept. 17) and Georgia (Oct. 15), and used an official visit for the weekend of Michigan’s game against Wisconsin, where he walked away thoroughly impressed while reconsidering how firm he is with the Crimson Tide.

“The strength of my commitment [to Alabama] is a little less than what it was,” Leatherwood said following his time with the Wolverines.

Leatherwood described his trip to Ann Arbor as “the best visit I’ve ever been on.”

He’s listed at 6-foot-6 and 315 pounds, and is ranked as the nation’s No. 3 offensive tackle and No. 18 overall player. He’s got he size and strength, and is the type of talent, to make an immediate impact at the next level.

Leatherwood plans to make a final decision on Friday, December 16.
