AP Top 25 college football rankings heading into Week 12 of the 2016 season. The poll looks much differently after a wild weekend.

What a crazy Saturday of upsets. For the first time since 1985, the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 teams in the AP Top 25 all lost on the same weekend. As a result, this week’s poll looks differently than last week.

Clemson lost first, as Pittsburgh shocked the Tigers with a field goal with six seconds remaining that gave the Panthers a 43-42 road victory. Clemson had been living dangerously for much of the season, and its luck finally ran out. It still has some hopes for the College Football Playoff, though, given the other stunning results.

No. 3 Michigan was next to go down, falling much the same way as the Tigers. Iowa pulled out a 14-13 victory with a field goal as time expired, handing the Wolverines their first defeat. It doesn’t change all that much in the Big Ten race, though, as Michigan and Ohio State will decide the division title Nov. 26 in Columbus. The winner of that matchup would need to win the Big Ten title game, and a CFP berth still is very possible.

Washington might need some more help, though. The committee left the Huskies out when they were undefeated, and it’ll be less impressed now that Chris Petersen’s team lost to USC, 26-13, at home.

Here’s a look at the rest of the AP Top 25 that was released Sunday afternoon.
