Big Ten Football Predictions, Schedule – Week 12

Big Ten football predictions and schedule for Week 12 of the 2016 season. A week after being upset by Iowa, Michigan will look to rebound against Indiana. Elsewhere, newest top-4 member Ohio State will look to protect their ranking against Michigan State.

As a conference, the Big Ten faces more questions than perhaps any other in the country. Who will come out on top when Michigan and Ohio State square off at the end of the season? Can the Buckeyes make it into the College Football Playoff without a conference championship? Can the Big Ten qualify two teams in the CFP?

Most of those questions won’t be answered this week, yet Week 12 is filled with potential trap games for all the contenders at the center of those questions. Before Ohio State and Michigan can look forward to their matchup in Week 13, the Buckeyes and Wolverines must navigate games against Michigan State and Indiana, respectively.

The Hoosiers have hung tough with a number of highly-ranked opponents the last two years, and will look to take advantage of a Wolverines team that will be without starting quarterback Wilton Speight. The 3-7 Spartans, meanwhile, have nothing left to play for other than ruining the Buckeyes’ shot at the playoff. However, the Buckeyes will surely have revenge in mind after their loss to the Spartans last season. Ohio State comes in with a six-game win streak in East Lansing.

Below is the full Week 12 Big Ten football schedule, as well as predictions for each game.
