Clemson vs. South Carolina prediction roundtable with the Campus Insiders staff. Breaking down what will happen between the Tigers and Gamecocks.

Jeff Bartl

If anyone in this round table – actually, anyone in the world – picks South Carolina to win this game, give them a breathalyzer test. Clemson will win this one easily.

Jonathan Bass

Sure, rivalry games take on a different tone on account of all the emotions involved. But if Clemson doesn’t win this one by three touchdowns I’d be incredibly surprised. True to form for a young quarterback, Jake Bentley is very good at home, yet struggles on the road. Welcome to one of the nation’s most difficult venues, young man. Deshaun Watson lives for this game, and in his final go-round in Death Valley he’ll put on a show for all the Tiger faithful.

Dave Miller

Dabo Swinney’s Tigers remain alive and well in the College Football Playoff race despite slipping up at home to Pitt in a wild contest a few weeks ago. Meanwhile, the Gamecocks have won four out of their last five since true freshman quarterback Jake Bentley took over at quarterback, and they’ll get 15 extra practices under their belt with bowl prep as they continue to build under Will Muschamp. Unfortunately, Clemson is on a mission and will use a big day by Deshaun Watson to pull away in the second half for the win.

Brian Stultz

Clemson has started to look like Clemson again, with Wayne Gallman running the ball and Deshaun Watson seemingly back to being 100%. Will Muschamp has the Gamecocks bowl eligible, which is an achievement considering the team he took over and where South Carolina started the season. Clemson wins in this one, and heads into the ACC Championship with a chance to head back to the College Football Playoff.
