A college football news roundup that includes Alabama head coach Nick Saban going on his latest rant and two Colorado players getting suspended for Pac-12 Championship game.

Cyber Monday has come and gone, and I bought nothing. It doesn’t feel proper unless I wait until right before the holidays to buy the gifts, only then everything is sold out, so I inevitably handing money to my family members and tell them that I “didn’t get a chance to go to the mall,” and “this is better anyway because you can buy what you want.” Moral of the story: I’m lazy.

In college football, the Jarrett Stidham Sweepstakes have heated up with Florida getting involved, LSU keeps on trying to sell themselves on Ed Orgeron, and Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was fined for his postgame rant from Saturday. Here are some other newsworthy notes in the latest college football news roundup.

Of Course We Want To Win! – Alabama head coach Nick Saban is legendary when it comes to blowing his lid at reporters who ask dumb questions, so when asked on Monday whether or not it would be okay if the Crimson Tide lose the SEC Championship game, Saban responded as only he can.

“’Is it OK to lose this game?’ It’s never OK to lose a game.”

The Crimson Tide are expected to make the College Football Playoff even if they are upset by Florida, but Saban wants no talk of that.

“That’s certainly not the mindset that we want,” Saban said angrily. “This is a big game for us. It’s an opportunity to win the SEC championship, which — to me — is a very significant accomplishment. We hold that in very high esteem, having the ability to do that, having the opportunity to do it, having the ability to play for it.”

Got it? Got it.

Stoops, Gundy On Same Page – The respective coaches of the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys are both concerned that, when the Big 12 brings back its title game next season, the two teams might have to play each other twice in two weeks.

“I voted for divisions,” Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy said. “It would allow the Big 12 to schedule conference opponents that are in the same division at the latter part of the season and then you wouldn’t get a back-to-back title game.”

Bad News For The Buffs – Buffalo will be without wide receiver Jaleel Awini and tight end Chris Hill for the Pac-12 Championship Game this Friday against Washington as the two players were involved in a bar fight following last week’s victory over Utah.

Guys, you are supposed to hit people ON the field. Not off of it.
