A college football news roundup that includes Auburn quarterback Sean White healthy enough to start against Georgia and Friday night games coming to the Big Ten.

Well, our long national nightmare is over. It felt like it would never end, but finally, it happened yesterday: I finally replaced my lost earphones with another pair so I can listen to music while typing away at my desk. What? You thought I was talking about something else?

In college football, South Carolina linebacker T.J. Holloman is the key behind the Gamecocks turnaround, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer penned a nice email to the Buckeyes student body, and we discussed which offensive coordinator would be the best hire as a head coach. Here are some other newsworthy notes in the latest college football news roundup.

White Will Start – Sean White came in for the second half of the Auburn game against Vanderbilt and brought the Tigers back for the win after sitting out the first half with an injury. He will play all of the game this week in Athens as the Tigers take on Georgia.

The Auburn offense struggled with backup quarterback John Franklin III under center in the first half against the Commodores.

Knight Out For Season – Texas A&M received bad news as starting quarterback Trevor Knight will miss the rest of the regular season after suffering a shoulder injury in the loss to Mississippi State this past Saturday. The injury will not require surgery, and Knight could possibly return for a bowl game.

Jake Hubenak, who came into the game against the Bulldogs, will start for the Aggies as they take on Ole Miss.

Friday Night Lights – Well, Big Ten style, that is. The conference has started to schedule several games for Friday night starting in 2017, including both Washington at Rutgers and Utah State at Wisconsin on the opening weekend. The games are part of a TV deal that will include six games per year for the next six years.
