A college football news roundup that includes former Penn State assistant Mike McQueary being awarded $7.3 million from university and a FSU wide receiver out for matchup against Clemson.

Yesterday was a good day, as I got my cast taken off and am now in a walking boot. I celebrated the achievement with a nice 20 oz. bone-in ribeye, a side of delicious spinach, and a few Bud Lights at Harry Caray’s, my local. It was amazing.

In college football, we take a guess on what Les Miles is doing with all of his free time, LSU’s Dwayne Thomas has some big words for Alabama, and our #FashionInsider Kurt Schwerman takes a look at the best uniforms for the week. Here are some other newsworthy notes in the latest college football news roundup.

A Win Against Penn State – Former Nittany Lion assistant Mike McQueary has been awarded $7.3 million in damages against Penn State University. One of the whistleblowers in the Jerry Sandusky scandal, the university was found guilty of defamation against McQueary.

FSU Missing Player – The Seminoles have their hands full with a matchup against undefeated and No. 4 Clemson this Saturday in Tallahassee, and FSU just took a big hit as second-leading receiver Jesus “Bobo” Wilson will be out due to a foot injury.

This Will Be A Great Moment – Wisconsin will host Nebraska on Saturday in a big game that will go a long way in deciding the Big Ten West division, but maybe the best moment of the night will come before the game when Badgers kicker Rafael Gaglianone will help bring the late Sam Foltz’s No. 27 jersey to the field.

Foltz was killed in a car crash along with former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler this July as they were both on their way back from a kicking camp in Wisconsin. Gaglianone, who was friends with Foltz, also attended the camp and has been wearing No. 27 in Foltz’s honor this season.
