Four-star defensive end Donovan Jeter committed to Michigan Sunday afternoon.

Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions.

Four-star prospect Donovan Jeter has committed to Michigan following his official visit to Ann Arbor this past weekend for the Wolverines’ 41-8 win over Illinois.

He released a statement regarding his decision.

“First, I wanna’ start by thanking God for continuing to bless [me] with these opportunities. I also want to thank all the coaches that believed in me and offered me a scholarship. But after my official visit to Michigan, it was a tough decision, but I feel like it’s [the] best for me and my family that I continue my education and football career at the University of Michigan.”

Jeter, who’s ranked as the No. 30 defensive end and No. 300 overall player in the country, committed to Notre Dame last month after thoroughly enjoying his visit to South Bend. He backed off that pledge to the Fighting Irish last week, though, and he labeled Notre Dame as his top school despite his decommitment.

The Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania native was supposed to commit on Halloween, but he has since made two commitments prior to everyone’s favorite spooky holiday.

The addition of Jeter gives Michigan 18 total commits, and 10 of them are 4-star recruits. The Wolverines now move up from No. 10 to No. 8 in the 2017 recruiting class rankings, jumping Texas A&M and Clemson in the process.

Penn State, Pitt, Oklahoma and West Virginia were the other programs left in the running for Jeter’s commitment. He holds at least 22 other scholarship offers.
