Donovan Peoples-Jones is in Gainesville to check out Florida for its game against South Carolina.
Given the loss of the scheduled home game against LSU, due to Hurricane Matthew, it’s a huge recruiting weekend in Gainesville for the Florida Gators.
One highly-sought-after prospect in attendance for the South Carolina game is four-star wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones (Detroit, Michigan). Peoples-Jones is ranked as the nation’s No. 4 wide receiver and No. 34 overall player.

This is People-Jones’ first trip into SEC country this season. He’s already visited a quartet of Big Ten teams, taking official visits to Nebraska (Sept. 3) and Ohio State (Oct. 8), and unofficial visits to Michigan (Sept. 24) and Michigan State (Oct. 15). This marks his second trip to Gainesville this year, having visited in early April.
The Gators are also hosting the likes of five-star offensive tackle and Alabama commit Alex Leatherwood and four-star athlete and Auburn commit Tray Bishop, among many others.
