IMG Academy prospect Dylan Moses “had a great visit” with coaches from Alabama on Monday.
With the recruiting dead period quickly approaching (it begins on Dec. 12), Nick Saban is making the rounds to touch base with the current Alabama commits, as well as top uncommitted prospects considering the Crimson Tide.
On Monday, Saban spent time with five-star outside linebacker Dylan Moses, the nation’s No. 6 recruit and No. 1 player at his position. Moses committed to Alabama over the likes of LSU and Texas, among others, on October 2, 2016.
Moses is one of four elite linebacker recruits committed to Alabama, joining No. 3 OLB VanDarius Cowan, No. 5 OLB Chris Allen, and No. 5 ILB Martial Benton. He’s also one of four five-star players currently committed in the class. In addition to Moses and Cowan, Alabama has pledges from No. 1 running back Najee Harris and No. 3 offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood.
Saban also made his way north to Jackson, Tennessee to visit with five-star offensive tackle Trey Smith, who plans on committing on Tuesday in a live ceremony.
Alabama’s class is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation, one spot ahead of Ohio State, who is also in the mix for Smith. The Crimson Tide have 4,212 points from 23 commitments.
