Three-star Florida commit Jake Allen promises good things are on the way for the Gators.
The Florida Gators haven’t exactly been lighting the recruiting trail on fire as of late, but looking into current quarterback commit Jake Allen’s tweet, something good may be just around the corner.
On Monday, Allen tweeted that “good news is coming soon” for the Gator Nation.
Allen is the second Florida commit to hint at a possible influx of talent making its way to Gainesville. Earlier this month, Zachary Carter told Gator fans that good things are set to happen on National Signing Day.
Due to multiple decommits, Florida has received a net total of just two commitments since the start of the 2016 season – running back Malik Davis (10/26) and defensive tackle Kyree Campbell (12/10).
It’s been a slow go on the recruiting trail for head coach Jim McElwain and his staff, and the recent loss of defensive coordinator Geoff Collins to Temple doesn’t help.
The Gators currently have 14 commitments, and sit at No. 24 in the team rankings and No. 10 in the SEC.
With the recruiting dead period here, and less than two months to go until National Signing Day, Florida has its work cut out if it wants to land a class the Gators have become accustomed to.
