Four-star offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson committed to Georgia on Friday, giving the Bulldogs 20 total commits in the 2017 recruiting class.

It’s the season of giving, and the recruiting trail keeps leaving gifts during the recruiting dead period.

On Friday, 4-star prospect Isaiah Wilson committed to Georgia over Alabama, Florida State and Michigan.

Wilson, from Brooklyn, New York, is ranked as the No. 9 offensive tackle and No. 49 overall player in the 2017 recruiting cycle. His pledge gives the Bulldogs 20 total commits, and Georgia now moves up from No. 3 in the recruiting class rankings to No. 2, passing Ohio State in the process.

The Bulldogs are getting a 6-foot-7, 354-pound beast in the trenches. Wilson has great footwork and is a nasty run blocker. But he isn’t the only blue-chip offensive lineman Kirby Smart’s staff has added to its 2017 class.

Georgia also has commitments from 4-star offensive tackles Andrew Thomas and D’Antne Demery. Plus, it has pledges from 4-star offensive guards Netori Johnson and Justin Shaffer.

And on Monday, 4-star JUCO offensive tackle D’Marcus Hayes decided he wanted to spend his college years in Athens, so he committed to Georgia as well.

Adding Wilson to that mix will give UGA a massive offensive line to protect Jacob Eason and current 5-star quarterback commit Jake Fromm for the next three to four years.

Smart’s staff broke into the month of December by adding commitments from 4-star defensive end Malik Herring and 4-star wide receiver Jeremiah Holloman. And now, it’s continuing to build a star-studded class.
