Penn State head coach James Franklin and his assistants responded to Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy with the perfect picture on Monday.

It isn’t often – if ever, for that matter – that you see a head football coach of a major program sporting a wrestling singlet, but now it has happened twice within a week timespan.

After Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy made a video promoting the NCAA championship matchup between the No. 1 Cowboys and No. 2 Penn State, Nittany Lions head coach James Franklin, along with his whole coaching staff, trolled back after Penn State pulled out the 27-13 victory and brought home the title to State College.

Both coaches are in pretty good shape, so the sight of them didn’t make you completely want to gouge your eyes out, but some of the Penn State assistants’ bodies have seen better days. I’m assuming that the nature of being a college football coach – all the time spent on the road recruiting and watching game film – keeps some of them from getting into the weight room as much as they want.

Let’s just all hope that this doesn’t become a trend.
