IMG uscademy prospect Jhamon Ausbon committed to Texas A&M on Tuesday night, flipping from fellow SEC West team LSU.

Texas A&M scored an early win over LSU on Tuesday night when the Aggies flipped four-star wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon from the Tigers. Ausbon released his top four schools in the beginning of last June, consisting of Auburn, LSU, Michigan and Texas A&M, before committing to the Tigers at the end of that same month.

Ausbon, who attended high school in Houston before enrolling at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, announced his decision to commit to the Aggies on Tuesday night via Twitter.

“I am officially committed to Texas A&M! #gigem #YESSIR,” Ausbon tweeted with a video.

He is the second recruit to decommit from LSU since Les Miles’ firing.

“I wanted to be a part of something, and be a part of a legacy, and to be legendary because that’s really important for me,” he told Campus Insiders following his original commitment during summer. He’ll now turn his attention from building that legacy at LSU to Texas A&M.

Ausbon is one of three commitments Texas A&M has landed this recruiting cycle from IMG Academy. He joined four-star quarterback Kellen Mond, the nation’s No. 10 QB, and four-star outside linebacker Santino Marchiol, the nation’s No. 31 OLB.

Ausbon is listed at 6’3″ and 217 pounds, and is ranked the nation’s No. 8 wide receiver and No. 55 overall player.
