LSU vs. Arkansas prediction and game preview. Projecting who wins the SEC West matchup between the Tigers and Razorbacks.

LSU vs. Arkansas Game Preview

When: Saturday, November 12 – 7:00 p.m. ET
Where: Razorback Stadium, Fayetteville, AR
TV Broadcast: ESPN

LSU ran into the Alabama buzzsaw this past Saturday, losing 10-0 and never really getting any offense going whatsoever, gaining 125 total yards. Quarterback Danny Etling threw for only 92 yards and an interception, while Leonard Fournette was shut down again, rushing for just 35 yards.

Arkansas dominated Florida in all phases in a 31-10 victory, holding the Gators to 241 total yards, including 12 rushing. Running back Rawleigh Williams III dashed for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

What To Know About LSU

The offense returned to its stagnant self, but a lot of units will do that against Alabama. The Tigers must put the performance behind them and focus on doing what made them so explosive since the coaching change: running the ball and setting up Etling with good opportunities to complete the long ball.

The defense held up their end of the bargain against Alabama, and now will focus on shutting down Williams and forcing Razorbacks quarterback Austin Allen into mistakes.

What to Know About Arkansas

What a difference a bye week makes. The Razorbacks were on point in the win against Florida just two weeks after getting demolished by Auburn, 56-3. Allen did throw a pick-six, but he finished the game with 243 passing yards and a touchdown. The LSU defense will be able to challenge him, though, and he needs to avoid mistakes.

Arkansas’ defense was solid against Florida, but will need to stop Fournette, who against Ole Miss two weeks ago went off for 284 yards and three touchdowns. The Jekyll and Hyde rush defense – Auburn gained 543 yards, while Florida was held to 12 yards – will need to play well.

Offense: Arkansas. Was the lack of production against Alabama just a one-time thing, or is the LSU offense returning to bad form?

Defense: LSU. Holding the Crimson Tide to 10 points should have won the game for the Tigers.

Special Teams: Tie. All of this talk about LSU’s Australian punters gets a little old when they are not doing their job.

Coaching: Arkansas. If LSU gives Ed Orgeron the full-time job, it will be a major mistake.

Intangibles: Arkansas. The Razorbacks are coming off a big win and will have momentum at home.

Matchup To Watch

Leonard Fournette vs. Arkansas rush defense

If Fournette fails to get going, the Razorbacks will have won the battle and most likely the war.

LSU vs. Arkansas Betting Odds

Spread: LSU -7
Over/Under: No line at time of publication.

LSU vs. Arkansas Prediction

It is difficult to predict which teams will show up for both sides, as the last few weeks have proven that both can look great at times and look horrible at times. LSU will come in angry after such a tough loss to Alabama, but Bret Bielema and the Razorbacks will be ready after a huge upset win against Florida. Can the Razorbacks make the Tigers one dimensional like they did the Gators? It won’t matter. Fournette has a huge day, and the Tigers become bowl eligible.

LSU vs. Arkansas Score Prediction: LSU 31, Arkansas 28
