Georgia may be getting a big boost with the return of star running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel along with a pair of linebackers.

Christmas is still more than a week away, but Georgia head coach Kirby Smart may have just received a huge present.

Per 247Sports, the Bulldogs could see the return of both Nick Chubb and Sony Michel at the running back position in 2017, with both reportedly coming back for their senior seasons and passing on entering the upcoming NFL Draft.

The return would be huge for Georgia, who will have quarterback Jacob Eason under center with a year of experience already under his belt. Having a healthy Chubb and Michel would certainly put the Dawgs in position to be favorites for the SEC East. Chubb rushed for 988 yards and seven touchdowns this season while Michel added 753 yards and three scores. Both missed time due to injuries.

Along with the pair of running backs, Georgia could get an added boost with the return of linebackers David Bellamy and Lorenzo Carter on a defense that ranked No. 16 in total defense this past season, allowing just 328 yards per game.

While the return of the four players is not official, it would be a major coup for Smart as he enters his second season in charge in Athens. The Dawgs struggled this season, especially on offense, as Eason took his freshman licks and a 7-5 record was a result.
