Four-star Ohio State commit Tyjon Lindsey has suffered a season-ending injury.

It’s been a rough week for Ohio State wide receiver commits regarding their health. First, five-star St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) prospect Trevon Grimes underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL and will watch the remainder of his senior season from the sideline. Now, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nevada) recruit Tyjon Lindsey’s senior season has suffered a similar fate.

Lindsey tore the meniscus in his right knee and will undergo surgery to repair the injury. Earlier in the season he suffered a broken collarbone and was sidelined for four games.

“If I played (the season) out I might hurt it even more and I might actually tear a ligament,” Lindsey told MyLVSports.com. “I don’t want to risk anything right now so my decision is to try and get the surgery as soon as possible.”

Despite the unfortunate news, Lindsey has remained positive about his recovery and future.

Lindsey is ranked as the No. 6 wide receiver and No. 47 overall player.

Fellow recruits showed support for Lindsey after the news of his injury broke, including five-star Ohio State commit Chase Young.
