Oklahoma football recruiting update as of October 23, 2016.

It was fun while it lasted for the Sooners. They were in the driver’s seat with the No. 1 class in the 2017 cycle, but that ranking now belongs to Ohio State once again.

Oklahoma fell to No. 3 in the class rankings after 4-star wide receiver Jalen Reagor flipped his commitment from the Sooners to the TCU Horned Frogs last week.

One big-time target for Oklahoma is 5-star inside linebacker Anthony Hines. He took an official visit to Florida recently and was at UCLA this past weekend for an official visit.

Hines is set to visit Ohio State this upcoming weekend, but the Sooners are still in great shape to land the nation’s No. 1 inside linebacker. However, Texas A&M is in the running, too.

Four-star center Cesar Ruiz has been high on Oklahoma for a while, but he spent an official visit at Auburn this past weekend for the Tigers’ 56-3 win over Arkansas. The Sooners won’t get him on campus for an official visit until Dec. 2. The other big contender for Ruiz’s commitment is Michigan.
