SEC football standings for Week 9 of the season. The Alabama Crimson Tide separated themselves from the rest of the division this past week.

The biggest game of the SEC football season thus far took place this past Saturday in Tuscaloosa, and Alabama walked out with a lopsided win over Texas A&M to definitively grab the No. 1 spot in the SEC West standings. The Crimson Tide improved to 5-0 in conference play and 8-0 overall, and held on to the No. 1 ranking in the AP Poll.

Both Auburn and LSU are still in contention for the division title, each having just one loss and Alabama still to play on their schedules.

In the SEC East, Florida still holds the lead despite having a bye last week. The Gators are ramping up for the annual neutral-site rivalry showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs.

Kentucky improved to 3-2 in conference play, moving ahead of Tennessee, who was also on a bye this past week, and one spot behind Florida. The Wildcats outlasted Dan Mullen’s Mississippi State Bulldogs, who now have the worst record in the SEC West.

Missouri is the only team in the SEC yet to secure a conference win. The Tigers lost a shootout to Middle Tennessee, falling to 2-5 in Barry Odom’s first year as head coach.

Below are the complete SEC football standings for Week 9 of the season.
