4-Star WR, Former LSU Commit Stephen Guidry Reveals Top 2 Schools

Four-star JUCO wide receiver Stephen Guidry revealed his top two schools on Saturday, including one power each from the Pac-12 and SEC.

Four-star JUCO prospect Stephen Guidry committed to LSU on May 21, three days after he took an unofficial visit to LSU.

He was committed for more than four months when the Tigers fired Les Miles. On the heels of their decision to get rid of the Mad Hatter, Guidry backed off his commitment to LSU.

On Sunday, the 6-foot-4, 190-pound wide receiver took a step forward in his recruitment by unveiling his top two schools on the eve of the recruiting dead period. The final schools vying for Guidry’s commitment are Arizona State and Mississippi State.

Guidry currently attends Hinds Community College in Raymond, Mississippi, so the Bulldogs are less than a three-hour drive from where he is right now.

However, the Sun Devils do provide an interesting recruiting tool. Earlier this month, it was announced that former Alabama quarterback Blake Barnett would be transferring to Arizona State.

Barnett is a former 5-star quarterback and is an intriguing variable for Guidry to consider as his recruitment winds down.

Guidry spent an official visit in Tempe on Nov. 10 when the Sun Devils lost to Utah, 49-26. He also spent an official visit in Auburn this past weekend.

However, he’ll have a busy month in January. Guidry is scheduled to officially visit Mississippi State on Jan. 13, two weeks before he spends his last official visit at Alabama on Jan. 27.
